Lembeh Strait probably is the Best Muck Diving place in the World! It is a real paradise for underwater macro photography and for all the critter lovers. Scuba diving in Lembeh is like jumping into a world of tiny strange and weird creatures. Famous photographers and enthusiastic divers come from all over the world to dive this famous spot and discover this incredible biodiversity!

Muck diving refers generally to diving in murky water with poor visibility on shallow sandy slopes. If you are a beginner diver, muck diving could seem a bit boring to you and Lembeh is not really a good diving destination for your first bubbles, but Muck diving offers the possibility to observe some of the weirdest creatures on Earth. These tiny little critters are the reason why macro underwater photographers from all over the world came for.

Muck diving is more suitable for experienced divers who have dived many times on conventional coral reefs and now want to discover really rare underwater creatures. Another amazing location for Muck fans are Mabul Island in Malaysia, Ombon in Indonesia, and Anilao in the Philippines.

We stayed at Cocotinos Lembeh Boutique Dive Lodge. The rooms are really nice, staff are super helpful and friendly, my favourite things about this lodge are the photo equipment room and FOOD!! The photo equipment room is big and complete with everything we need: tools and charging ports, and new dry towels on our desks after every dives. The food here are truly amazing, the menus never repeated during our 4 nights stay, from local food to western food, every meal are so delicious, and personally I love Manado local cuisine the most. 👍👍

Kudos to our dive guide that helped and guided us throughout all the dives, Roger Daltrey and Hanniaurelius, they are really experienced and can even spot the tiniest creature found in Lembeh, which is really incredible. Without them, there will be no amazing underwater critters photos shown below.
